These unroasted cashews are tender and naturally sweet, versatile for snacking or using in all kinds of recipes. A heat process is used to crack open the tough shells, the nut meats are then removed and delicately hand-processed.

Equal Exchange was started by importing fair trade coffee from Nicaragua in 1986, despite a US embargo against the Sandinista government. Since then, the company has widened their offerings and has been committed to building alternative supply chains that give farmer co-ops a fighting chance.
